Steps to install memcache

1) Install “memcache” from cPanel/WHM (Module installers/PHP Pecl)
2) yum install libevent
3) yum install cyrus-sasl-devel
4) wget https://launchpad.net/libmemcached/1.0/1.0.18/+download/libmemcached-1.0.18.tar.gz
5) tar -zxvf libmemcached-1.0.18.tar.gz
6) cd libmemcached-1.0.18
7) ./configure
8) make && make install
9) Install “memcached” from cPanel/WHM (Module installers/PHP Pecl)

Restart Apache Server

For Easy Apache 4, it needs to include modules in php.ini

Upload a file named memcache.ini here /opt/cpanel/ea-php56/root/etc/php.d
